Home Office Exercise – Software

Through whatever circumstances you find yourself working from home. It’s before 9 am, you sit down with your laptop and before you know what’s happening the whole day has passed you by with you only moving to go to the toilet or get a drink! Your are not alone, this is “normal” home office working for a lot of people. It’s also not good for you at all. Our Home Office Exercise software is designed with only one purpose in mind, to get you off your bum, moving and raising your heart rate on a regular basis, even if it’s just for one minute at a time.

What Home Office Exercise Is:- Software that you install on your PC. Then every 50 minutes it will pick an exercise at random for you to do for 1 minute, you’ll get a 30 second warning prior to it starting. Home Office Exercise displays an exercising image over any existing programs you have running, effectively stopping you from working for that minute and encouraging you to move. That’s all it does, nothing more or nothing less. There are 8 exercises to choose from and you should only choose exercises that you have good technique in. For example if you are happy to just stretch your legs with a bit of a walk then make sure that Walking is the only exercise checked. If you have experience in planking, pushups and star jumps then check those as well. It’s entirely up to you.

What Home Office Exercise Isn’t:- A home fitness plan, personal training program or intelligent fitness regime. Our software is literally only to get you out of your seat on a regular basis. It does this by picking an exercise at random and freezing your computer every 50 minutes for 1 minute.

Why even create something like this, it hardly fits in with the normal types of software we write? Technically it was written for our own use, having spent many years as a gym regular and seeing ever diminishing returns from the 1-2 hours a day exercising, whilst spending 10 hours plus glued to computer. It turns out that there has been some opinion that sitting on your bum all day EXCEPT for an hour in the gym is not the ideal way to maintain a healthy lifestyle! Our bodies are designed to be more active on a regular basis. Thus software to help drag us away from the computer.

Home Office Exercise Features

  • Currently 8 exercises included, YOU choose which ones are part of the random rotation (Situps, Pushups, Pullups, Plank, Walk, Star Jumps, Squats, Bicep Curls)
  • 1 Beep to start exercising, 3 beeps to finish. Allowing you to know when your time is up if you’re on the floor
  • Exercise images are in a plain format so you can easily replace with your own
  • Break up your home office work day by making sure your move on a regular basis
  • Ability to enable and disable so you can pause it for that really important meeting
  • Don’t tell anybody but the Escape key will end the current exercise early, just in case something crops up that really needs your screen

Home Office Exercise has been tested on computers running Windows XP all the way up to the very latest version of Windows 10 and across 32-bit and 64-bit versions. There are no usage restrictions, the software is completely FREE to download/use and comes with full Windows install/uninstall support. As with all our desktop software you will need to be an administrator to install the software but once installed any user can use it.
